The Crossing development in Coombs includes 83 two and three storey terrace stye townhouses delivered for Defence Housing Australia (DHA).
Monarch took possession of the site after construction ceased under the previous contractor in 2023, stepping in to complete all remaining design and construction works in line with the approved Development Consent and Building Approval conditions.
Taking over a partially built project presented significant complexities. Many structures had been exposed to the elements for an extended period, requiring extensive investigation, remediation, and quality assurance before construction could progress. Monarch managed each townhouse at its unique stage of completion, ensuring structural integrity, buildability, and compliance throughout.
The completed development provides a mix of two- and three-bedroom homes, with dwellings allocated to both Defence Housing Australia and the private market. Designed with flexibility in mind, each home includes multipurpose spaces suited to evolving household needs.
Delivered in close partnership with DHA, the project achieved a high-quality outcome for all stakeholders and future residents.
