Community Support
We believe giving back and making a positive impact in our community is an important part of doing business. Monarch supports a range of organisations and community groups that contribute to the health and wellbeing for those in need, and we look forward to continuing this support through the strong partnerships we have formed.
Karinya House.
Monarch have a close, long-standing relationship with Karinya House; a not-for-profit organisation providing supported accommodation, transitional housing and outreach services to vulnerable and at risk pregnant and parenting women and their families who are in crisis.
After constructing a new purpose-built facility in 2016, our relationship has only continued to grow. As an official corporate partner of Karinya, Monarch staff continue to donate their time for ongoing improvements and minor additions to the facility as required.
Home Starter Packs
Continuing this support, Monarch, in partnership with Harvey Norman, have created Home Starter Packs containing key whitegoods and appliances that are given to mums who are leaving Karinya and beginning a new life of independent living. Since the first Home Starter Pack was received in December 2017, Monarch have delivered 37 packs to help women and children establish their new homes.
‘I commend Monarch for both their professional competence, experience and dedication in building our new purpose-built facility as well as their generosity and example in corporate citizenship and care for some of the most vulnerable women and children in our community.’

Annual Fishing TOurnAMENT.
Each year Monarch holds the Annual Bream Tournament in Tuross Head, NSW. This event brings together employees, contractors and local partners of Monarch, and is also an opportunity to raise funds for a local organisation doing great things in our community.
Since 2016 this charity event has raised over $190,000 for various charities throughout Canberra and the South Coast, and we thank all our sponsors and attendees who have participated over the years.
Some of the organisations Monarch have supported through this event include the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Roundabout Canberra, Ricky Stuart Foundation, Karinya House, Lifeline Canberra, Parkinson’s ACT, the Eurobodalla Disaster Relief Fund, and the Tuross Head Rural Fire Brigade.
Annual charity Golf Day.
The Monarch Annual charity Golf Day is held each year to support a local charity. Now in its second year running, Participants enjoy a friendly round of golf while contributing to a great cause, with all proceeds going to support local initiatives.
Most recently we raised $40,000 for the Ricky Stuart Foundation—an incredible achievement that will directly contribute to providing essential resources and services for individuals with autism and their families. The event reflects our commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the community.
Sporting Clubs & Programs.
Over the years, Monarch have supported many sporting clubs and programs in the Canberra, Albury and the South Coast through sponsorships, in-kind support and participation in fundraising events.
The North Woden Tennis Club have been an ongoing partner with Monarch, having recently received an upgrade to their facility with new wheelchair access and amenities refurbishment. This upgrade is another step toward assisting sporting clubs and associations to grow participation and to get Canberrans active.
