The Visitor Experience Enhancement Project (VEEP) at the Royal Australian Mint transformed the ground and first-floor public spaces to create an exceptional and lasting visitor experience. The scope of work included installing complex digital interactive and audio-visual systems, along with custom joinery, structural steel, flooring, partitions, graphics, and upgrades to fire and mechanical services, giving the space a much-needed upgrade.
The project presented intricate challenges, including coordinating interstate and local subcontractors to successfully deliver the interactive designs and ensure seamless functionality. Monarch also identified a risk with the weight of glass in the proposed History Blade showcases and collaborated with the structural engineer and joiner to conceal structural steel, adding stability without compromising aesthetics or safety.
The result is a refreshed, immersive environment that seamlessly blends the Mint’s rich history with modern technology.
“…Your meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication have been a huge asset to the project from day one…”
Meredith Dickie, Lead Project Manager – VEEP, Royal Australian Mint
