DELIVERY
Design & Construct

Monarch has delivered a sophisticated commercial office fitout for a leading Australian peak industry body at 23 National Circuit, Barton. The project transformed a warm shell tenancy into a fully functional, premium headquarters that reflects both the organisation's profile and the character of the building. This marks Monarch's fourth successive office fitout at 23 National Circuit, reinforcing our established expertise at one of Canberra's most distinctive commercial addresses.

23 National Circuit is defined by its exposed cross-laminated timber (CLT) structure. The fitout design responds directly to this architectural character, drawing the warmth and natural texture of the CLT beams and columns into the tenancy through a carefully considered material palette that feels connected to its surroundings.

The completed tenancy includes a large boardroom, multiple meeting rooms, an executive office, four private offices, an open-plan work zone, a client entry and waiting area, a kitchen and breakout space, and back-of-house utility areas. Works encompassed solid and glazed partitioning, custom joinery, premium floor finishes, acoustic wall treatments, integrated lighting design, mechanical and electrical services upgrades, and BMS reconfiguration.

Drawing on accumulated knowledge from three previous fitouts at the same address, Monarch brought refined project processes, established relationships with the building owner and specialist services contractors, and a deep understanding of the building's structural and services constraints to this delivery. The result is a workplace that is polished, highly functional, and connected to the identity of both the client and the building it calls home.
