Queanbeyan Leagues Club: Modernisation & Expansion

28 July 2026

Monarch Building Solutions has been awarded the redevelopment of the Queanbeyan Leagues Club on Monaro Street, Queanbeyan. This is a significant investment for one of Queanbeyan's well-established community clubs, delivering a modernised and expanded facility for its members and guests.

The project will involve the demolition of several existing structures on site, including a neighbouring building with its heritage façade retained, an office building, various internal spaces, and the current carpark. In their place, a new extension to the club will be constructed alongside a full internal refurbishment of the existing facility. The Monaro Street frontage will also be upgraded, with façade changes designed to activate the streetscape, promoting activity and observation to the street.

Site access and traffic flow will also be improved, with a new internal roundabout introduced at the centre of the site and the existing vehicular crossover on Collett Street closed. Car parking will increase significantly, including five accessible bays, ensuring the club can comfortably meet the needs of its growing membership.

A key requirement of the project is keeping the club operational throughout construction, with works carefully planned across multiple stages so members can continue to enjoy the club while the transformation takes shape around them. We look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses.
