Building a better future for aged care in Temora

06 July 2026

Monarch Building Solutions has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for Whiddon's $25.6 million redevelopment of Whiddon Temora Residential Aged Care Homes in NSW.

The redevelopment will modernise the existing 40-bed Home, improve dementia care offerings, and consolidate services into a single, contemporary aged care home. Supported by a $19.5 million federal government grant through the Aged Care Capital Assistance Program, works include targeted refurbishment of the existing Home, comprising a new commercial kitchen, commercial laundry, and resident activity and lounge rooms, along with external improvements including a new Porte Cochere entry, Men's Shed and pizza oven area.

The extension involves the construction of a new two-storey wing comprising 52 residential aged care beds with designated memory care areas, purposefully integrated with the existing Narraburra building.

On completion, the redeveloped campus will increase total capacity from 76 to 92 residents, with new amenities including enhanced clinical spaces, a café kiosk, hair salon, health studio, and resident gardens. Operations from the existing Greenstone Lodge will consolidate into the upgraded Narraburra site, creating a connected and modern home for the Temora community.

This redevelopment is a significant investment in regional aged care for the Temora community, where there are no alternative providers within a 70-kilometre radius. Monarch looks forward to working alongside Whiddon and EPM Projects to deliver an outcome the community can be proud of, with completion targeted for late 2027.
