Monarch delivered a complex upgrade at Woden Police Station, replacing outdated gas-powered systems with a new, fully integrated mechanical system. All VAVs were reconfigured for optimal performance, and the prefabricated plant was craned into place, reducing the mechanical shutdown from four weeks to just seven days.
Day and night crews worked to meet the tight schedule, with temporary heating in place to maintain comfort. Power disruptions were minimised through smart planning, limiting power loss to two brief 15-minute windows instead of a three-day outage.
Additional works included in-ground conduits for future EV chargers and structural upgrades to the plantroom façade to meet acoustic standards. The project was completed nearly a month ahead of schedule, with minimal disruption to police operations.
