The Yamba Café at Canberra Hospital is a welcoming hub serving over 3,000 patients, staff, and visitors daily.

Blending functionality with a sophisticated design, the café features warm, earthy tones and natural materials, creating a refined yet inviting atmosphere.

Key design highlights include curved terrazzo stone benchtops, custom lighting boxes, bulkheads, feature joinery panels, and French wash-painted walls—all thoughtfully integrated to enhance the space’s contemporary aesthetic.

Far more than just a café, it includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, cool rooms, and freezer facilities, supporting other Zouki Cafés across the hospital.

Monarch brought its extensive expertise in live, operational environments to this project, navigating complex hospital requirements with meticulous planning. The team successfully delivered a highquality fit-out on time, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
