Monarch is currently delivering the construction of a new Chancery for the Bangladesh High Commission in Yarralumla, contributing to the continued growth of Canberra’s diplomatic precinct.
The project involves a purpose-built Chancery on a greenfield site, comprising three levels, including a two-storey building with basement parking. The facility will provide high-quality diplomatic and consular spaces, including offices, a reception area, multi-purpose hall, library, kitchens, and supporting amenities.
The design incorporates 7-metre-high ceilings, roof terraces, shade structures and colonnades, establishing a distinctive architectural presence. External works include landscaped gardens, courtyards, retaining walls, pedestrian terraces, and a new vehicular driveway, along with a separate 35m² security building within the site.
