Monarch Building Solutions was engaged to complete rectification works on the ADFA Dome located at the UNSW Canberra campus.

Full scaffold access was erected inside and outside the entire perimeter of the Dome, encapsulated by a full scale tent to protect the building from wet weather conditions throughout the works.

Monarch’s in house team of carpenters, Monarch Interiors, were commissioned to construct the new plywood substrate frame, with a breathable membrane and batten cladding.

The ADFA Dome is now completely weatherproof and can be rotated 360 degrees with a sliding door roof opening for telescope observation.
