Revolutionary electrical product used in Monarch fitout

18 October 2017

Monarch recently undertook the demolition and warm shell fitout of 5100m2 of office space at 51 Allara Street in Canberra’s CBD. During the fitout process a revolutionary electrical product was used for the first time ahead of its official launch.

Developed by electrical supplier M Elec, the Blind Snake rapid plug base has been designed to cut down the time and steps required to install downlight plug bases. The need for stripping wires to install the plug base has been replaced with a simple two-piece base that simply clicks into place, creating the required connection from base to cable with no tools required.

Sub-contractor Intricate Electrical was the first company to use the product and the time saving benefits can be seen in this video.

Monarch is constantly looking for ways to improve workflows and create time savings without reducing quality. This innovative technology helped Monarch deliver this warm shell fitout two weeks ahead of schedule.
