Monarch to Deliver New Gungahlin Community Centre

Monarch have been awarded the design completion and construction contract for the new Gungahlin Community Centre, a project set to provide a vital hub for connection and support in this rapidly growing area.

Managed by Major Projects Canberra (MPC) on behalf of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD), the design of the centre reflects a collaborative approach, developed in collaboration with key community groups and organisations.

The Centre will include:

  • A dedicated youth hub

  • Multiple art workshops

  • A large community hall and multi-purpose rooms for events and activities

  • A café and commercial kitchen to support community events

  • Consulting rooms for professional community support services

  • Integrated outdoor areas designed for play and community events.

All these facilities will be housed in an accessible, inclusive, and centrally located hub, thoughtfully designed to meet diverse community needs.

Monarch has been working closely with Judd Studio to finalise the design, with construction scheduled to commence next year. We are proud to play a role in delivering this important resource for the Gungahlin community.
