Breaking Ground on the Gungahlin Community Centre

11 March 2025

Construction has begun on the new Gungahlin Community Centre

To mark this milestone, a sod-turning ceremony was held with Minister for Planning Chris Steel, MLA Suzanne Orr, and representatives from Infrastructure Canberra, highlighting the importance of this project for Canberra’s fastest-growing district.

Monarch is proud to be delivering a modern, accessible, and versatile space designed to bring the community together. The centre will feature a large multi-purpose hall, work hub, meeting and activity rooms, art workshops and studios, outdoor green spaces, and expansive kitchen facilities. Located in the heart of the Gungahlin Town Centre, it will provide convenient access with public parking, bike storage, and end-of-trip facilities.

With completion set for 2026, we look forward to delivering a space that will serve the Gungahlin community for years to come.
