The Adventure Begins In Yass

The Yass community celebrated the official opening of Riverbank Adventure Park today, an exciting addition to the town's recreational spaces.

Yass Valley Council secured approximately $2 Million in grant funding in 2021 under the NSW Public Space Legacy Program to replace the former play equipment which had come to the end of its safe asset life and was damaged during the floods of 2022. 

Monarch Building Solutions, Strategic Civil & Landscape, and Proludic successfully delivered the new playspace with a variety of amenities to cater to different interests including a well-designed playground with state-of-the-art equipment, barbeque facilities, covered seating areas, public restrooms, ample parking spaces, and accessible facilities, all surrounded by soft surfaces and gardens.

The new park and playground, with accessible equipment for children of all abilities, was built appeal to visitors and enhance quality of life for residents.

The brand new Riverbank Park adventure playspace in Yass was officially opened by Yass Valley Mayor, Allan Mcgrath, Minister for Regional NSW, Tara Moriarty, and Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman MP.

Gerhard, Andy and Tony from Strategic Civil & Landscape stoked to see the finished park enjoyed by the Yass community.
