Monarch is currently delivering a 30-dwelling public housing development in Yarralumla on behalf of Housing ACT, transforming the 1950s public housing complex into a modern, energy-efficient residential development.
The development will deliver 30 new homes across three buildings on a 3,000m2 footprint comprised of 18 one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom terraces and two three-bedroom dwellings, undercroft parking spaces and bicycle storage.
Landscaping includes communal seating and tables positioned beneath mature trees that will be retained on site; additional verge trees will also be preserved to maintain the streetscape character.
The project forms part of the ACT Government's commitment to deliver 5,000 additional public, community and affordable rental dwellings in Canberra by 2030, supported by Housing Australia's Future Fund Facility Round 2.
