The Isla Motel in Batehaven is a new retro style boutique motel with a modern twist.
Monarch completed the internal strip-out and external demolition of the existing Abel Tasman Motel before refurbishing the building into an 18 room boutique motel with high end guest amenities.
Each room features custom-crafted oak furnishings with recessed niche’s, terrazzo tiling and highlights, brushed brass accents, custom joinery, stone benchtops and textured paint finish.
Three guest suites provide premium accommodation options; each with two bedrooms, kitchenette and dining area; the ground floor suite also offering a private plunge pool and landscaped courtyard.
The building received a complete upgrade to all electrical fittings including wireless entry to the rooms, new air conditioning units, hot water units, and a PV solar system.
The hotel boasts a number of shared facilities available for all guests to enjoy. The ‘Cantina’ room is a minibar reimagined providing fully stocked vending machines with locally sourced beers, wines, cocktails, and snacks. The newly refurbished pool area is surrounded by an outdoor lounge area, BBQ facilities and outdoor shower. The ‘Pool House’ is complete with fireplace and large flat screen TV perfect for cooler temperatures or to relax at the end of the day.
Keeping with the nostalgic Australian motel elements, the Isla Motel exterior features decorative metalwork and sunset tones to give the building attractive street appeal, complimented by a variety of plantings and external lighting.
