The main goal for this project was to split the existing two-storey penthouse into two separate penthouse suites— the lower and upper houses. Monarch undertook its role with immense responsibility, great care and exhaustive attention to detail.

The interior combines an array of warm, luxurious and intimate aesthetics, which required careful consideration to ensure the use of many different textures and materials resulted in a cohesive space.

The overall subtlety of the design offers guests a memorable experience from the moment they enter each suite.

The refurbishment is truly exceptional and is distinguished by its fresh interpretation of design and numerous unique aspects. Selected finishes have not been chosen to follow current trends, but rather to offer a state of timeless style.

Bold joinery pieces cleverly define spaces and are sophisticated in their execution. A high sense of style is further conveyed through the use of custom made timber panels, luxurious stone finishes and high quality fixtures and fittings.

Fundamental to the project’s success was a close working relationship with the client, designer and subcontractors. Extraordinary care and consideration was required during construction so as not to disrupt hotel guests.

The attention to detail on this particular project illustrates seamless coordination between designer, construction team, subcontractors and client. The resulting penthouse suites display simplicity and calmness for guests, while providing an excellent example of the expertise and skills possessed by the Monarch team.
