The Animal Referral Hospital in Pialligo is a purpose-built facility providing 24 hour emergency services and specialist referral services including surgery, diagnostic imaging, nursing and intensive care.
Monarch was engaged to construct the base build and fitout of this new facility on a greenfield site. The works encompassed an undercroft carpark sunken under the building including associated entry ramp, civil works and detention tanks.
The first floor fitout includes the first diagnostic 1.5 tesla MRI for animals in Canberra, a new 64 slice CT scanner, a tailored Intensive Care Unit, three surgery rooms, four emergency surgery stations, seven consultancy rooms, staff sleeping quarters, all associated offices, meeting rooms, wet areas and supporting facilities.
The building is surrounded by hard and soft landscaping that compliments the striking aesthetic of the exterior materials and shape.
