"Monarch went above and beyond to ensure the product was right, delivered on time and on budget, and ensured every detail was attended to."

Coordinate is a full service advertising and marketing communications agency, located in a mixed-use building and apartment complex in the final stage of the New Acton precinct.

The brief was to create a flexible space reflecting their vision, goals and culture that would encourage interaction between employees and clients. Coordinate’s vision was for an industrial, hard working garage-like space that is approachable and unpretentious.

A carefully considered palette of materials were selected to achieve those aims and included concrete, glass and timber. These would be further complemented by various artwork to be  added by the client after handover.

The timber panelled entry wraps to the boardroom, both featuring commanding glass doors. The reception desk was custom made on site using shiplap blackbutt timber and steel, with painted perforated steel detailing.

The workstations and boardroom table were also custom built.

Timber flooring and a pressed metal ceiling detail added further interest, while plasterboard was used for internal partitions. Complexity was faced with the integration of existing raw concrete walls with new joinery and partitions. Also included in the fitout was the addition of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical services.

A considerable degree of difficulty was faced with this project and Monarch’s team of skilled and experienced workers were able to overcome complex issues. Construction was completed on time and within budget. This fitout is an outstanding example of innovative and challenging design and construction.
